(4 votes, avg: 5.00 out of 5)Every year lakhs of farmers in hill districts of Uttrakhand cut thousands of oak trees to make wooden plough.This heavy cutting of oak and other broad leaf trees is causing heavy damage to the water resources,biodiversity.Now a suitable alternative of the wooden plough has been developed by the joint efforts of Vivekanand Parvatiya Krishi Anusandhan Sansthan Almora and Syahi Devi Vikas Samiti Shitlakhet.
