this photo was taken by me when I was a kid studying in class 7th back then in 2010. My family often visits dhari devi temple, it is a tradition there to wash your hands and feet from the holy waters of alaknanda before going into the temple. During one of those visits when my parents washing their feet, I took my mother’s phone and took this picture. It shows holy alaknanda calmly carving her way out of the scenic mountains but I realized later that there is a huge irony in the calmness of alaknanda actually it was the same river that destroyed that eroded the mountain at her bank as you can see in the previous season.
